Histograms often display some kind of pattern. A few of these patterns have their own names based on their symmetry. We've written them below each histogram.


This histogram is called SYMMETRIC, for obvious reasons.


A histogram with a long left tail is called SKEWED LEFT.


A histogram with a long right tail is called SKEWED RIGHT.
