Instruction

Nicely done! Let's do one more exercise. Body mass index, or BMI, is a person's weight in kilograms (kg) divided by their height in meters squared.

According to the measure of BMI, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) defines obesity as having a BMI of 30 or more. We can calculate the BMI for a person who is 1.75 meters tall and weighs 89 kilograms as follows:

89/(1.75*1.75)

The result in this case is 29.1.

Exercise

Let's calculate the BMI for Tanya, given that she weighs 65 kg and is 172 cm tall.
